Instead of scouring the sales for more items to add to your (probably overflowing) closet, Mash-Up presents the Great Singapore Save! For the month of July and August 2017, Mash-Up offers you alternatives to DIY items already found in your wardrobe, and will teach you new skills in their signature fun style. The workshops will be an afternoon of fun with Mash-Up where participants can expect to learn new skills and to create quirky designs using embroidery and beading techniques. The creative mending classes will explore ways to add textures and to repair holes, add patches and colourful motifs onto denim. Have fun, make friends, make something cool.
There will also be free visible mending sessions where visitors can come to Mash-Up’s studio every Saturday in July and August between 12.30-1.30pm to repair items of clothing. So if you have a pile of buttons to replace, straps to repair, or stains to cover up, bring them in and Daniela Monasterios Tan from Mash-Up will use her needle magic to mend them for you! (July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 & August 5, 12, 19, 26).
